today is also etta james' first birthday. her maturity level is improving a little bit, i think, but we're hoping to see a lot of progress in the next year. haha!
anyway...we've been kind of on-and-off celebrating mom's 60th year since the vegas trip in july, and i imagine we'll continue the celebration with the birth of grandchild numero uno (hopefully soon).
if you happen to see this and happen to see my mom at some point today, make sure to tell her happy birthday. 60 is the new 40, after all.
